Empowering Green Manufacturing · Leading Industrial Upgrading Ensign Industry Awarded the Special Prize of Science and Technology Progress by the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation

On December 24, 2025, the 2025 China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation Science and Technology Awards Conference was grandly held in Beijing. The project “Green Industrialization through Technological Innovation of multi-enzyme cooperative catalytic system and bio-based products,” jointly submitted by Ensign Industry and East China University of Science and Technology, was awarded the Special Prize of Science and Technology Progress. This year, only two achievements nationwide received this honor. This distinction not only marks the first time in the Federation’s history that a Special Prize has been awarded in the organic acid field, but also signifies renewed authoritative recognition of Ensign Industry’s innovative capabilities in the green biomanufacturing sector, achieving a new breakthrough in the company’s scientific and technological awards. Mr. Li Jian, General Manager of Ensign Industry, accepted the award on behalf of the enterprise. 

The company has long collaborated with East China University of Science and Technology and the top universities and research institutions, deeply cultivating the green biomanufacturing for citric acid, and building an innovation community of deeply integrated “Industry, Academia, Research and Application”. It has successively earned national honors including “Core Enterprise of China’s Citric Acid Characteristic Industrial Base,” “National Demonstration Enterprise for Specialized Manufacturing,” “National Green Factory,” and “National Excellence-Level Smart Factory.”
